Our Organization
The Northwest Columbia Heights Community Association is a 501c3 organization comprised of neighbors and community members who share common goals. We serve the northwest part of the Columbia Heights neighborhood of Washington DC and the surrounding areas.
Our Mission
To improve the quality of life, level of safety and sense of community in our neighborhood. We work with police, local and federal government entities to protect lives, property, and community. We establish and sustain productive relationships with organizations that serve our community
Our Guiding Principles
Activism: We value the opportunity to change our community for the better through our vigorous activism. We fight courageously to get our issues addressed, and give our time, effort, and expertise for the good of the greater community, as well as ourselves.
Inclusiveness: There is strength in numbers! We welcome like-minded community members to join.
Partnership: We favor leveraging the good work of other existing organizations through partnerships.
Our Structure
Membership is voluntary and all NWCHCA positions are unpaid. We fund initiatives primarily through private donations. Donations to NWCHCA are tax-deductible.
